UMAS is delighted to invite you to the launch of UK Domestic Shipping: Mobilising Investment in Net Zero, a report produced by Marine Capital Ltd with the support of the UMAS and Lloyd’s Register.

Billed as one of the most comprehensive studies of the UK domestic maritime sector to date, the report states that approximately £75bn of investment is required over the coming three decades for the UK’s domestic maritime sector to transition to net zero. Attracting new sources of capital will be key to the industry’s energy transition.

Join us for the launch to hear from Tony Foster of Marine Capital as he presents the findings of the study, an assessment of the appropriate measures and structures that could be applied to our national maritime sector and the lessons that can be learnt from comparative regimes, including initiatives such as Green Corridors.

With the report already attracting considerable press activity and discussion, we anticipate this to be a lively and interesting session.

17:30: Registration
18:00: Presentation and panel discussion with Jos Standerwick (Maritime London), Dr Tristan Smith (UMAS) and Ahila Karan (Lloyd’s Register)
