BetterFleet

In partnership with CWR, we have developed the free to use BetterFleet product, which is an information portal designed to give a broad indication of the range of a vessel’s operational efficiency. Elements of BetterFleet, including the scales, map, and histogram, use satellite AIS data processed with a specialized computer model to calculate grams per ton-mile of CO₂ emitted for any individual vessel. Presented in these forms, these data can enhance the understanding of how a vessel is operated over time.

BetterFleet outputs were generated using the FUSE platform, and available through the ShippingEfficiency.org portal. BetterFleet provides relative estimates of a vessels performance compared to its size and type category averages.
